"Bitter - Sweet Parting"

'Tis such sweet sorrow,
In the parting of our ways - so near,
Our laughter, tears, our joys, our fears,
Within our hearts do hold so dear,
Those tender, precious memories, so real, so clear.

'Tis God who'll love and comfort, strengthen,
When so weary, sad, alone we stand,
Throughout life's journeys, burdensome and bland,
We'll lift our hearts and minds to Him,
Our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ - our King.

Amid the warmth and sunrise of the dawn,
We'll wake refreshed "a new day" has been born.
To teach us this, "life must go on".
With help and strength from God above,
Our pathways rise - enveloped in His love.
