Little Pond

Lacy shadow patterns,
Rasberries sweet.
Pond like smooth satins,
A long log seat.

A hot summers day,
Water clear and cool.
In the warm sun lay,
On a rock next to the pool.

A little red bird feeds her young,
Watch the berries carefully chewed.
They aren't the only ones,
That are thinking about food.

Eat some lunch by the pool,
We must leave.
Oh, no, tis so cool,
There's a prickle on your sleeve.
